#edisijelajah – [Review] Hounon Ridge Farmstay and Camping.

Assalamualaikum and a very good day to my reader. Today, in conjunction with my recent trip to Kota Kinabalu, I would like to write a review about my stay during my vacation. This is my first time doing the review. I hope it helps you to decide where to stay during your trip to Kota Kinabalu/Kundasang.

How do we know about this lodging? Actually, this place went viral since last year, saying that the view here was breath-taking and worth the money. Since my friends and I bought the ticket to KK, we decided to stay here to experience our self if it's really worth it. Since this is a private property, they don't really use Booking.com or another hotel booking agent. So, you have to contact the owner yourself and pre-booked it.

So, how to contact them? We decided to book 3 months prior to our travelling date. Since this place is like hot cake selling after rain, we're afraid that it's going to be fully booked even though we actually go on the weekdays. Surprisingly, it is fully booked for all double room during our trip (we only knew it during our arrival).

https://www.facebook.com/hounonridge/ - you can get their latest room prices at their Facebook's page. The contact person was helpful and patiently answered all of my question.

Next, what to expect when you came here? There's a saying "rough road leads to the stars" by unknown. Literally, the road to get to see the stars at Hounon was.. Rough. Haha. The route was quite challenging. To get there, you will follow the Kundasang route. Please note that there were no sign of Hounon Ridge Farmstay so when you saw Bundu Tuhan signboard, take that (go right). From Kota Kinabalu, it's going to take around 1hour 45 minutes to reach the stay. Depending on the traffic. When you saw signboard to Bundu Tuhan, take that and you will go straight to the uphill. Aiya just waze lah. One thing for sure. There's no wifi there. And umobile sucks. Luckily I'm a celcom user.

Anyway, I hope photos below are helpful. Till then!
